CONTEMPORARY OIL PAINTINGS

"By combining elements of traditional landscape oil painting and startegies of abstraction I make paintings that address the confrontation and integration of nature and technology. I use circuit board patterns, parking lot designs, and elements of abstraction to contrast the landscapes. People seem to enjoy the challenge and tensions that combining these elements bring. I hope the paintings capture a kind of beauty in these tensions and images and engender a meditative approach from the viewer."

Mr. Roberts-Gray lives in western Colorado with his wife, ceramic artist Annette Roberts-Gray.
